Georgette & Anthony – A Princess-Cut Engagement Ring

Anthony and Georgette found VONA through Google and reached out to create an engagement ring together.

When Georgette first arrived, she was convinced she wanted a marquise-cut diamond. She had saved inspiration photos and had a clear idea of what she thought she was looking for. But seeing diamonds in person often changes everything!

During our consultation, she tried on different shapes to compare them side by side. The moment she put on a princess-cut diamond, she fell in love with it.

Once we had chosen the centre stone, we refined the design together. Georgette loved the idea of a cathedral setting to elevate the diamond, claw prongs to keep the look timeless, and a hidden halo for an extra touch of sparkle visible only from certain angles.

The final design features a 2-carat princess-cut lab-grown diamond set in 18K yellow gold, finished with a hidden halo and a personal engraving inside the band: sempre insieme.

What I love about this story is how it reminds us that choosing an engagement ring isn't about following a trend or sticking to the first idea you saved on Pinterest. Sometimes the right ring is the one you didn't expect to choose.
