I’m Duygu Dagdemir, founder of VONA Fine Jewelry, based in Milan. I created VONA to design jewelry that feels personal, transparent, and consciously crafted.

Before founding VONA, I studied International Relations in Istanbul and later moved to Milan in 2016 to pursue a master’s degree in Marketing Management at Politecnico di Milano. After several years working in fashion e-commerce, I decided to fully commit to the world of diamonds and trained in Antwerp as a Graduate Gemologist. That training deepened my understanding of diamond quality, sourcing, and craftsmanship, the knowledge I now bring to every piece we create.

As I began working with clients, I realized how overwhelming choosing a diamond can feel. Too many technical terms, too many conflicting opinions. Over time, engagement rings naturally became the heart of my work. I found myself most drawn to the meaning behind them and to guiding people through such an important moment. I wanted to simplify the process and make it transparent, without removing the magic of the moment.

VONA is built on transparency and innovation. From lab-grown diamonds to 18k gold, every piece is crafted with intention. I believe luxury should evolve with technology, without compromising quality or relying on unnecessary harm to the planet or the people behind it.
